The New York Mets have acquired outfielder Billy McKinney from the Milwaukee Brewers for Minor League pitcher Pedro Quintana.

McKinney, 26, is a former first-round pick. The Mets have struggled with injuries as of late.

The New York Yankees have shown interest in trading for Texas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields, Jr., according to a report.

DeShields signed a Minor League deal with the Rangers during the season and has yet to see any Major League action.

The Yankees have injury issues in the outfield with Aaron Hicks, Ryan LaMarre, Clint Frazier and even Giancarlo Stanton dealing with maladies.

The New York Mets have acquired Cameron Maybin in a trade with the Chicago Cubs.

Maybin has been assigned to Triple-A Syracuse. The Cubs received cash considerations.

The 34-year-old outfielder was off to a 4-for-39 start at Triple-A Iowa.

The Mets were motivated to add outfield depth due to recent injuries.

The Yankees have the lowest OPS of any club in the Major Leagues from the left side this season.

New York currently has just three lefty bats on the roster -- Brett Gardner, Tyler Wade and Mike Ford.
